Springtime always means lemons! Lemon pies, lemon cupcakes, lemon cookies, lemonade, lemons, lemons, lemons. It is wonderful having lemon trees in our yard (and in our neighbor’s yard- smile). Fresh lemons make everything better. My daughter and son-in-law got me started squeezing fresh lemon juice onto my salads- and what a difference that makes!
This bread is soooo good! When I have a tea party or brunch, I love to make several different kinds of bread to slice up and place on a beautiful crystal serving platter. This lemon bread is always on that plate. It has so much lemon flavor! It kind of reminds me of one of my favorite cakes growing up, a lemon jello bundt cake. Hmmmm. Maybe, that’s a cake I’ll have to make next.
This time around- I found a beautiful citrus loaf pan (on Amazon) to make this wonderful lemon bread in. It is so pretty, I hate to slice it!!!
