I was digging through some of my old favorite “go to” dessert recipes and found this gem! In the old days of chain letter recipe sharing, someone sent this recipe to me. A lot of times I would receive these random recipes out of the blue from someone I didn’t know and more often than not- the recipes were tried and true and pretty good! This one was one of the best ones that came to me and I used to make it for special dinners. I have used all different sizes of springform pans and it all works. This time I used a 9 inch springform pan, which gives a nice equal balance of crust, filling and apples. You really can’t go wrong with this one. I even over baked this- doing too many things at once and missed the alarm! Even over baked, it was delicious!
