I love walking through the produce section of the grocery store this time of year because it is so bountiful. The fruit all looks delicious and there are so many opportunities awaiting. The one fruit I can never pass by are the blueberries. I love blueberries in my oatmeal, in smoothies and even buried in my sausage! One of my favorite cheesecakes when I was growing up was a simple plain cheesecake with a graham cracker crust and then topped with a can of blueberry pie filling. That was such a special treat!! This cheesecake is an all grown up version of that cheesecake. Wonderful flavors and so beautiful in its presentation. What I really love about this is that it is fool proof. I always use a water bath for my cheesecakes, as described in the recipe; however, I did not use one (for experimental purposes) while I baked the one pictured. And yes, there were cracks, but the greatest thing is that you have the blueberry sauce to hide any imperfections. It is still just as beautiful and just as delicious, cracks and all! I hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!
