I love the combination of different citrus flavors together, whether it is in a cake, cookies, or a wonderful marmalade. I tried a few different recipes that I have made before and added a little more citrus – the result? amazing!
I was reminiscing about some of my all time favorite old time recipes. One is a lemon jello Bundt Cake. I haven’t made it in years (I’m talking about probably 20 years!) but I could still remember the great lemon flavor of that cake. I decided to add a couple more citrus flavors to the recipe to see what would happen. So, I went to the jello aisle and found 3 boxes of jello: lemon, orange and lime.
If you notice that on the video I fill the incredible cake pan mold all the way up to the top! (Big mistake!) It bubbled all over the inside of my oven. That is one thing I love about baking. It is like life. It’s not perfect and sometimes it is a mess, but there is always a lesson to be learned and most things can be salvaged! The cake was delicious and moist, full of the three citrus flavors that I had hoped for!
The next triple citrus recipe I made was Triple Citrus Marmalade. This wonderful marmalade is made with fresh Grapefruit, Oranges and Lime. Such incredible flavor! This would make great presents for friends and neighbors for Christmas, or just gifts to show people how much you appreciate them! You will absolutely love this – it will spice up your breakfast offerings and transform a simple piece of toast.
