Sometimes it is just as easy to make 2 pies rather than one. Today I had plenty of apples to make a couple of 9-inch pies, and so I went for it. This Apple pie is one that earned a second place ribbon at the Arizona State Fair a few years ago. It is really wonderful served warm and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is one of our family favorites and is adapted from a recipe I have from a beloved cousin, Arlene. Thank you! I hope you all try this and love it as much as I do!
