PIES

MARCH MADNESS- FINAL FOUR-PIES-IN-0NE!

I wanted to see how fast I could make a pie and was determined to make one in 5 minutes. I probably could have done it, except that I tried to “draw” a basketball and a Kansas Jayhawk on my piecrust- and shape 2 basketball nets onto the pie filling.

Anyway- this pie was very different than my usual pies. I made it in a rectangular baking sheet and used packaged pie crust and canned pie filling. A first! Again- I was going for speed….

I am usually very particular about everything being made from scratch but I bent my rules this time, and I have to admit- it was all pretty tasty! I would definitely make it again for a party or BBQ. It is a conversation starter and it gives everyone a chance to grab a piece of their favorite pie. The four pie fillings I used were: apple, blueberry, peach and cherry. I wanted to use the same colors that represent my FAVORITE college basketball team : the University of Kansas Jayhawks!

I wanted to re-create this pie this year as I have no doubt the Jayhawks would have won the whole tournament, but alas, we will never know. Enjoy the video, and best of luck to you if you decide to make this at home. I think you will really love the simplicity and uniqueness of this four-in-one pie!
