After filling out our family bracket today, I was inspired to make a four-filling pie in honor of my favorite college basketball team, the Kansas Jayhawks! I originally was going to name this the 5 minute pie, but as you can see from the video, it turned into a 20 minute pie! Still pretty fast to throw together. I broke several of my “pie rules” today. I think it was the first time I ever used a packaged pie crust, and one of the very few times that I have used canned pie filling. It was necessary to try to make the 5 minute challenge. After tasting the final product, I can say with confidence that this is a really good pie! You would be proud to take it to any watch party!! This is the video of how it all came about…….enjoy!
Ingredients:
Pillsbury Pie Crusts (I used 2 1/2 boxes, for a total of 5 crusts)
4 cans of Pie Filling (1 apple pie, 1 cherry pie, 1 blueberry pie, 1 peach pie filling)
To decorate: egg yolk, a few drops of water, a few drops of desired food coloring, and a paint brush.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
You will need a 16 1/2 inch x 12 inch rimmed baking sheet.
