OH FUDGE!

As we prepare for Christmas, I always start thinking about making cookies and candies and breads and treats- oh my! I love packing up trays of treats and taking them to neighbors and friends. The fun of making beautiful and delicious food for me, is to give it away and share that love with friends and family. I love bringing a smile to someone else’s face as they open a box of beautifully decorated cookies, or in this case, fudge. I am a fudge freak. I really have to stay away from it all year. You know when you go to almost any touristy spot, there is always a fudge shop. I have to run the other way! This is one of those treats I give myself only at Christmas time. Otherwise, I would have to spend a lot of hours hiking and biking and dancing trying to burn off all of those calories. But, my motto is “everything in moderation”. So, tonight is the night. It is FUDGE TIME!! For a little extra color, I decorated the fudge with some candy melts piped through a pastry bag with a small round tip.
